A Spring Wedding: Jenny and Tyler

Last Spring (April 30th to be exact), The Canterbury Place hosted Jenny and Tyler's wedding reception. It was a great event and you can see more pictures on our website here. Can I tell you how much I love our venue in the spring?!? We have apricot blossoms on our trees all around the building and they are stunning. They last between 3-4 weeks and begin usually mid-April (however, you never know the exact date since Utah's weather is crazy). Because we are booking many spring and summer weddings right now, I thought everyone would enjoy this blast from the past! We have had some brides plan their dates around the blossoms because they are that beautiful. If you are planning your wedding in the spring, you now have one more thing to look forward to! If not, remember that The Canterbury Place is also available for photo shoots of any kind (bridal, groomal, engagements, even family)!

Miquelle + Jefferson Wedding at The Canterbury Place

Miquelle and Jefferson had their Wedding Ceremony and Reception at The Canterbury Place at the end of October on a beautiful autumn day. We loved planning with them because their love for each other was truly apparent and they were so excited for their special day. Miquelle and Jefferson are both talented vocalists and showed their love by seranading one another that evening. For the ceremony the groom's mom (who is an orchestra teacher) had her students play in a beautiful three string quartet. The wedding colors were a subtle brown, peach, and ivory which looked beautiful with The Canterbury Place's vintage charm. Their event was truly unique made even more so with the first man-of-honor at The Canterbury Place!

Sarah and Sean's Wedding

Sarah and Sean got married at The Canterbury Place in September. The weather was absolutely perfect for the event- the leaves in the courtyard were the deepest shade of red and were so beautiful for the outdoor ceremony. Sarah, the bride looked amazingly gorgeous. Her dress was the perfect shape and the deep red lily and rose bouquet complimented her attire completely. Below are some pictures from her elegant event. Check our website soon where Sarah will be one of our featured brides!

Nikki and Chris

In March of this year we had the priviledge of working with Nikki and Chris to create their dream wedding ceremony and reception. The bride's colors were red, white, and black with a very elegant feel. They had a beautiful ceremony that was made unique by the fact that they incorporated bagpipers! Chris himself is a bagpiper and owns CH Bagpiping that offers bagpiping services for weddings. Below is a video of Nikki and Chris' ceremony at The Canterbury Place- enjoy the beautiful bagpiping and make sure to call CH Bagpiping if you are interested in having bagpiping as part of your wedding!

Our favorite part of the giveaway was reading why our brides selected to have their wedding reception with The Canterbury Place. Here are a few of our favorite answers:

"The Canterbury Place was the nicest. It's elegant, yet modern. Fits the perfect ceremony and the perfect reception all in one place. They are willing to work with any ideas and will do anything to make your day the way you want it. With all the choices and the awesome wedding planner, it's the easy way to have an amazing wedding." Thanks Megan!

"We feel The Canterbury Place is a very beautiful, and elegant place to have a reception. We like the setting and location as well" From Jackie

The two most important thing to our brides on their big day is atmosphere and family. What are you looking for in your wedding venue?
